In this role, the Quality Engineer:
* Develops and implements programs and processes to ensure that Trinity Meyer products are safe, legal, and meet or exceed customer expectations for compliance with national/regional/global regulations.
* Compiles & writes training material and conduct training sessions on improvement tools & methodologies.
* Plans and executes projects and team activities to facilitate changes that have a statistical impact on business results, especially as it relates to meeting and exceeding customer expectations.
* Identifies improvement opportunities and apply scientific methods, statistics and problem solving techniques to improve and sustain product quality and process effectiveness.
* Prepares quality analyses and recommends necessary quality procedures changes.
* Records quality test results and present to various levels of management
* Records and analyzes customer claims.
* Reviews documentation related to manufacturing processes to ensure quality products are delivered to the customer
* Performs Time-Studies and work with the Continuous Improvement team to increase quality and efficiency
* Adapts six sigma methodology into process improvement, monitoring and analyzing data to identify non-value-added steps.
* Creates process audit plans and ensuring that quality systems and products are produced to Trinity Meyer standards and specifications.
* Performs audits and assessments on processes and procedures to ensure compliance to specifications, engineering drawings and procedures
* Uses best practices and knowledge of internal or external business issues to improve products or services
* Communicates with customers, suppliers and program personnel on quality related issues.
* Solves complex problems and takes a new perspective using existing solutions
* Uses independent judgment to solve routine problems and makes recommendations on complex issues
* Solves diverse range of problems of varying scope and complexity
* Serves as a project lead on small to mid-size projects with moderate level complexity
* Applies in-depth job knowledge to a wide range of multiple or complex tasks
* Works independently and receives minimal guidance
* Acts as a mentor and resource for colleagues with less experience
Required Experience
What you will need:
* Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Quality, Operations, Manufacturing, Supply Chain or other related field
* Certified by the Society for Quality (ASQ) as a Certified Quality Engineer (CQE). Required
* CQA (Certified Quality Auditor) status through ASQ (American Society for Quality) or other equivalent organization, required
* ISO 9001:2015 experience required
* 5 years of Quality Engineering experience
